Copyright stance

Copyright presents a number of challenges for facilitating the demonstration and distribution of audio description – particularly given online content’s ability to transcend national borders and country-specific regulations. In the examples used on this website I have done my best to respect the actual and intended components of the Fair Use exemption and prioritised the use of Public Domain content wherever possible. In particular, I have referred to the Center for Media and Social Impact’s Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Online Video which provides invaluable and exhaustive guidance on this point.
